March Box: St. Patrick’s Day
Hey friends!
We have a few new faces around here, and I’m thrilled! Welcome, and thank you for the support! 🥰
Honestly, I didn’t realize that I needed to make a few more macarons than I usually do because of new subscribers, so I had to go back and bake more a few times. 🙈 That’s a wonderful “problem” to have though; my subscription family is growing! You guys are the best. 🥲🥰
Anyways, I know what you’re really here for, so let’s go!
Bailey’s Crème Brûlée
(Probably my favorite flavor this month.) Espresso flavored macarons, filled with a rich Irish crème buttercream, topped with torched vanilla sugar
Guinness Chocolate Brownie
(Ok I know I said the last one was my favorite, but honestly, it might be tied with this one.)
Chocolate macarons, filled with Guinness chocolate brownie batter and Irish crème buttercream
Irish Apple Cake
(Apparently a very popular, traditional Irish dessert!) Spiced apple macarons, topped with streusel, then filled with apple buttercream and vanilla custard sauce
Irish Shortbread Toffee (Millionaire’s Shortbread)
Shortbread flavored macarons, filled with GF shortbread cookie butter and rich caramel, then dipped in chocolate and sprinkled with Maldon salt.
Lucky Charms
Macarons made with Lucky Charms blended into the shells, topped with Lucky Charms marshmallow pieces, and filled with toasted marshmallow/cereal buttercream
Shamrock Shake
(Ok warning: the Shamrock shake used to just be a green vanilla shake. Then the mint flavor got added. But it’s a vanilla ice cream based shake, so the main flavor in this macaron is vanilla. With a hint of mint.) Vanilla macarons, filled with vanilla-mint French buttercream.
And the special treat this month is a homemade Rice Krispie treat! I honestly never really liked homemade Rice Krispies growing up, but I had no idea it was possible to do so many different flavor variations! Some of you will receive a caramel Rice Krispie and some of you will receive a chocolate-brown butter Rice Krispie. (The caramel Rice Krispies are not gluten free.)
I hope you enjoy your treats! I’ll be at the Nice Ladies market on March 10th, selling more macarons and maybe other stuff. 😁
If I don’t see you then, I’ll see you next month, with some Easter-inspired flavors!
